The writer of controversial book ‘The Satanic Verses’, Salman Rushdie will release another book in August

News24xx.com - News for Salman Rushdie fans came from the London Book Fair 2019. The famous novelist through hiscontroversy book, ’The Satanic Verses' will release his latest novel. Inspired by Don Quixote's classic work by Miguel de Cervantes, he published a novel called 'Quichotte'. The news was published by the publisher VINTAGE at the LBF event.

 "The book will be published in the UK on August 29, 2019" said the VINTAGE representative, quoted from the official Penguin Random House UK website on Sunday, March 17th 2019. 'Quichotte' tells the story of an old merchant who fell in love with a television star. He drove across America to prove himself worthy of his love.

Salman Rushdie said writing his latest novel became a unique and frightening experience. "I think a lot about great classic works and classic science fiction short stories that eventually became inspiration. I also want to write love stories: broken love, obsessive love and I hope the results of my latest work could be enjoyed by others" he said.

After the controversy of the book 'The Satanic Verses' which made him faced the death penalty from Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in 1989, he now lives in New York. Previously he had released the 18th book entitled 'The Golden House'.
