Sitwell's answer hit the girl. She stated that she had repeatedly written about murder and domestic violence, but none of the respondents answered her so rudely. “If William Sitwell wants to continue to eat meat and hate vegans, it’s his prerogative, but it’s very strange to have this attitude on others when he represents Waitrose”, - Nelson said.

Sitwell said he didn’t want to offend anyone. He apologized to everyone he insulted with his message. Correspondents also talked to representatives of the supermarket chain.
