Why is sex taboo among athletes? Sex itself is an activity that consumes a lot of energy, not only physically but also physiologically. Sex is considered as a cardiovascular activity that will drain the athlete's stamina, so many sports athletes avoid it even for months before the match.

In addition to physical problems, the Bleacher Report site in its review of MMA fighters stated that pre-match sex did not physically weaken them, but instead weakened them mentally. "If sex is our duty as human beings and we make love before the game, one of our primary human drives has been fulfilled, and will have an effect on the athlete’s performance on the ring, covering the competitive feeling to fight and the desire to win" the site wrote.

Compared to harming athletes, according to Narcity site, sex increased testosterone levels by as much as 20 percent. This means the greater the power released and the increased muscle development, plus the benefits of relieving stress and satisfied feeling that usually appears after sex.
