News24xx.com - The world seems for the first time to see a photo of a black hole. On Wednesday next week, astronomers from around the world will hold six major press conferences simultaneously to announce the results of the Horizon Telescope (EHT) which was deliberately designed to capture the image of black hole.

This result has been long awaited. Of all objects in the universe that cannot be seen by humans, including black energy or black matter, there is no object that provokes curiosity as big as a black hole. Since the 1700s, astronomers have begun speculating about "black stars" that can eat all the material in space, and now indirect evidence is gathering.

"More than 50 years ago, scientists saw something very bright in the center of our galaxy" said Paul McNamara, a scientist at the European Space Agency who is also an expert on black holes. "The hole has very strong gravitational pull data, so the stars surround them very quickly - as fast as 20 years."

In the end, astronomers speculated that this bright spot is a "black hole" - a term coined by US physicist John Archibald Wheeler in the 1960s. Inside this disc-shaped edge of the black hole, the material suddenly becomes very dark. "The end of this horizon, or this point that can't be crossed again, is not a physical barrier. You can't stand on it" McNamara said.
