Novel made by Stephen King and his son, Sleeping Beauties will be adapted into a movie

News24xx.com - Author Stephen King is an iconic figure in the history of horror. He had written dozens of thriller and horror stories. Some of them have even been adapted into films.

It is no surprise that his son, Owen King, follows his footsteps in becoming a horror/thriller author. The father and son collaborated in making a novel titled Sleeping Beauties.

Many of King’s stories have been adapted into films and some of them have been successful. This time, AMC will adapt Sleeping Beauties into a film.

AMC said that it will not be a direct adaptation of the novel as it will have its own ending. Owen King will be the one who write the script.

The story is about women and gender role, what would happen when men were left alone. The story takes place in a small Appalachian town. Something happens when the women go to sleep. They are covered in some kind of cocoon. If they are awakened or disturbed, they become feral and violent and while they sleep, they go to another place. Meanwhile, the men were abandoned and left to their devices.
