Meanwhile in a separate statement the Santa Clara Ministry of Public Health confirmed that it was indeed investigating measles cases in its area. Officers tried to find out who was the infected employee at Google's office to prevent a wider spread.

Spokesperson for the Santa Clara Public Health Department, Britt Ehrhardt, said there should be no risk of wider dissemination among communities. "Santa Clara's Department of Public Health works with Google to contact people who may be suffered with measles that they could be able to transmit the disease to other people" the official health ministry statement said on Thursday, April 18th 2019.
