These are Marvel movies you should re-watch before you watch Avengers: Endgame in theatre

News24xx.com - Avengers: Endgame will be the last film of what has been called the “Infinity Saga”. This film will wrap up 11 years’ worth of storytelling.

But this film will also link back to other previous Marvel films. The directors, Joe and Anthony Russo advised fans to re-watch some of the previous movies before they watch Endgame or else they will be confused, in particular, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War and Avengers Infinity War.

While the three films are important for you to understand the plot, they are not the only films you should watch to understand the grand scheme of things. Here are other Marvel movies you should re-watch other than the three mentioned above.

1.       The Avengers

Joss Whedon’s 2012 film is the first Avengers movies, so it should be important. In this film, the team consisting of the strongest heroes is first formed. It establishes the relationships among the founding members of Avengers and where we first saw the glimpse of the story’s main antagonist, Thanos. Avengers: Endgame will go back to the six original members: Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye, so it is important to re-watch this film first.

2.       Avengers: Age of Ultron

The sequel of The Avengers is also very important to the storylines. It hints to the friction between Tony Stark (Iron Man) and Steve Rogers (Captain America). It introduces several characters like Vision and Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch). It is where they first learned about Infinity Stones through Thor. It also reveals Hawkeye’s family, which will be crucial to his story later.

3.       Thor: Ragnarok

The last solo film of the God of Thunder, Thor, is also important to watch. It also features Bruce Banner or Hulk. In this film, Hulk is no longer a mindless monster. He can speak in short sentences and feels other emotions beyond rage. There is a possibility that the two personalities (Banner and Hulk) can reconcile.

4.       Ant-Man and the Wasp

Among other films you think are important, you may not realize that an Ant-Man is one of them. But the last Ant-Man film may be important as it may hold the key to victory. In the second film, there is Quantum Realm, a subatomic dimension in which Janet Van Dyne was trapped. There is also a mention of time vortexes, which prompts fans to think that the heroes can use it travel back in time to the Battle of New York.
