Ed Sheeran’s concert in Hong Kong forced to cancel because of a lightning strike

News24xx.com - Ed Sheeran's concert in Hong Kong on Thursday, April 18th 2019 was forced to be canceled. Even though the singer has had completed sound checking and was ready to appear in front of fans, but lightning suddenly occured at Fantasy Road Outdoor Venue, Hong Kong Disneyland. Immediately, for the safety reason, the concert organizer decided to cancel it.

Sheeran then apologized because the concert had to be canceled. Through an upload on Instagram he said that the decision was out of his control. "Hi everyone at the show in Hong Kong. Sorry about that, it really has nothing to do with me" he said in a video uploaded. Sheeran explained, he and all the band crew he had brought were already to perform on location.

"We have arranged everything, we have checked the sound, we are ready, and they told us that there was a lightning strike and we had to wait and leave the stage" Sheeran waited with his crew. But the 'call' to perform didn't come. "They keep saying another half an hour, again, and again, and again" he continued.

In the end, the concert was completely canceled. "It has nothing to do with me. I apologize that people have to go and wait in the rain, but they get nothing. I am very, very sorry for wasting your time. Love you" Sheeran closed upload.
