Jason Momoa shaved off his beard for the campaign to stop using plastic bottle

News24xx.com - Beard and mustache has become a signature of Jason Momoa. Since 2012, the main actor in 'Aquaman' has been bearded and until now the public has recognized the actor as a burly, long-haired man with thick beard on his face.

So when Jason Momoa decided to shave off his beard, the public, especially his fans, were excited. On Friday, April 19th 2019, the actor of Khal Drogo in the series of 'Game of Thrones' posted a video on YouTube and Instagram, showing the seconds he 'shaved off' his beard which became his trademark.

Jason Momoa is seen shaving his thick beard using an electric razor. In the video it appears to be in a desert, which makes the beard shaving process more dramatic. The purpose of Jason Momoa shaved jos beard is not without reason. There is a message behind the action, about public awareness of the importance of recycling and no longer using plastic bottles.

"I do this to encourage awareness that plastics damage our planet, and I think I have a solution. There is only one that can help and save our planet as long as we want to recycle, which is aluminum. It's 100 percent recyclable" Jason said, pour water from cans into a glass.

He continued, "I shave this beard, it's time to make a change. Change for the better ... for my children, your children, for the world. Let's make positive changes to the health of our planet. Let's clean the sea of our country. Join me on this change. Change plastic usage with recyclable aluminum."
