OIC satisfied and congratulated the implementation of 2019 Indonesian presidential election

News24xx.com - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) congratulates the people of Indonesia for successfully holding an open general election this year. OIC Secretary General, Yousef Al-Othaimeen considers the government together with the Indonesian people have succeeded in showing great maturity and responsibility through this once in five-year event.

"The OIC Secretary General Al-Othaimeen hereby congratulates the people and the Indonesian government for the successful implementation of the election and praises the sense of maturity and great responsibility shown by the Indonesian people through this election" said the OIC statement through its official website on Friday, April 18th 2019.

Just like a number of other countries and international organizations, the 57-member association also sent an election monitoring mission (EOM) to Indonesia to oversee the Election on Wednesday, April 17th 2019.

The OIC in its mission 'noted with satisfaction' that yesterday's Election was conducted in an open, peaceful and orderly manner in accordance with Indonesian rules and internationally accepted norms.

"The OIC is fully convinced that the success of the 2019 General Election will contribute further to strengthen the democratic practices and institutions for the development and prosperity of the country and its people" OIC continued.

Not only domestically, the 2019 election yesterday was also highlighted by international media. Some of the foreign media that proclaimed the national democracy party yesterday even anticipated that this year's Indonesian Election is the biggest in history.
