News24xx.com - Kuwait which is located on the coast of the Persian Gulf, the Middle East, has strict regulations regarding food during the fasting month. For people who eat in public places during the month of Ramadan, prison sentences could be imposed for the violater of this rule.

Reported by the Gulf News, on May 6th 2019, according to the law enforcement in Kuwait, eating food in public places during fasting time is a violation of the law, where people have to pay a fine of KWD 100, not only fines, but also one-month imprisonment.

This was explained by Public Relations from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Tahweed Al Kandari. This penalty applies to all residents either they are Muslim or not. "Residents and expatriates must pay attention to the values ??and traditions that are applied here, including respecting those who are fasting" Tahweed said.

Kuwait itself is known as an oil-producing country, which has many workers from abroad. In addition, Tahweed will also take firm action against beggars if caught in action in residential areas, markets, and outside the mosque, because too many beggars appear in the month of Ramadhan which can disturb the comfort of the residents while performing fasting.
