Teenager took her own life after making a poll on Instagram about whether or not she should die

News24xx.com - A Malaysian teenager killed herself after making a poll on Instagram about whether or not she should live or die. Majority of respondents said she should die.

The unidentified 16-year-old came from Kuching in Sarawak. She died after posting the poll on Monday.

“Really Important. Help Me Choose D/L,” she had written, according to reports, with D/L meaning Dead or Live.

69% of the votes urge her to die while 31% of it ask her to stay alive. This causes lawmaker Ramkarpal Singh to call for an investigation regarding the circumstance of her death.

“I urge the authorities... to investigate the social media accounts of the victim and the circumstances that led to her death to prevent further abuse f social media in similar circumstances in the future. It is important that incidents such as this do not repeat themselves,” he said.
