A new documentary movie about Meghan Markle reveals why she divorced with her ex-husband

Before marrying Prince Harry, Meghan Markle had married Hollywood producer Trevor Engelson. Unfortunately, thei marriage ended with a divorce.

Meghan rarely talked about her first marriage. But a new documentary takes a look at her life before she met Harry and ultimately, the reason why she and Trevor split.

Meghan Markle: Movies, Marriage & Motherhood features an interview with royal correspondent Ashley Pierson. She had explained that the reason for Meghan and Trevor’s separation was Meghan’s acting career.

“The problem with the marriage was the distance. As soon as they married she got the gig on Suits and she was in Toronto and he was in LA. The relationship just didn’t last,” Pierson said.

Trevor had also remarried to a nutritionist named Tracey Kurland, just days after Meghan gave birth to her child with Prince Harry.
