News24xx.com - France is making policies so that the world fashion industry stops destroying their unsold clothes. Revealed by officials of the French government, this is done because various chemicals contain in it, make the recycling process more difficult and it will have the bad impact on the environment.

This policy targets high-end fashion brands that have long burned or buried unsold goods in landfills. They did that to keep the luxury image of their brand that would not give discount of large quantities of goods that were not sold.

It's different from what is usually done by usual brands. These mass-made products generally will give huge discounts for their unsold products. "Too many companies feel fine by simply throwing or destroying their unsold shoes or clothing" Deputy French Ecology Minister Brune Poirson said at the fashion sustainability conference in Copenhagen.

Poirson asked high-end brands to overcome this problem at the industry level, but the government will still make a ban. The promise came after Burberry Group Plc said that it will end the practice of destroying their unsold goods.
