News24xx.com - The demonstrators who took the street protested the rules of abortion in Alabama which prohibits all kind of abortion practices, including for cases of rape and incest. As reported by AFP on Monday, May 20th 2019, demonstrators who defended women's reproductive rights gathered in several cities in the state of Alabama, such as Montgomery, Birmingham, Anniston and Huntsville.

They protested the Law on the Protection of Alabama's Human Life or known as HB314, which regulates the abortion ban. The law was passed by Alabama state authorities last week. In the law, every practice of abortion - even in cases of incest and rape - is prohibited, unless there is a risk of the mother's death.

In this protest, the demonstrators carried posters reading 'her body, her choice'. A female demonstrator wearing clothes in cream color that made her look like she was naked, carrying a banner that read: "More than just an incubator." Several other demonstrators called the Alabama legislators 'just intending to imprison women and doctors'.

The abortion ban in Alabama applies a sentence of between 10 to 99 years in prison for doctors who caught doing abortion practice, which will be considered as an act of murder. But mothers who do the abortion in Alabama will not get any punishment.
