News24xx.com - Apple has to deal with the law again. The technology giant from Cupertino has just been sued by its users. There are three iTunes users from Rhode Island and Michigan filing a lawsuit in a federal court in San Francisco on Friday, May 24th 2019. They sued Apple because the information heard by them that their data is sold without the user's consent.

It sounds trivial, but disclosure of iTunes personal data is illegal. In addition, it is considered dangerous for users who are subject to vulnerability.

"For example, each person or entity can rent a list of names and addresses of unmarried high-educated women aged 70 with income of more than USD 80 thousand who bought country music from Apple through the iTunes store. The data is sold at USD 136 per thousand registered customers” the prosecutor said as quoted by Bloomberg on Saturday, May 25th 2019.

They demanded USD 250 thousand for each Rhode Island iTunes user whose data was revealed and USD 5,000 for a user in Michigan. Even though the lawsuit has been entered, Apple still has not commented on the case. Let's wait for the continuation of this case.
