News24xx.com - For people who weigh their weight every day can help them to maintain their weight and even lower it. This is because weight scales can be a daily reminder for them in adjusting their eating behavior.

This certainly involves a little more exercise or keeping their eating habit healthier. On the other hand, participants who do not weigh their weight every day experience weight gain. Researchers say those who don't weigh often don't feel the pressure to adjust their behavior because they are unaware of the weight gain.

Quoted from the Daily Mail, this study examined 111 adults aged between 18 and 65 years. Experts analyze participants from mid-November 2017 to early January 2018. "People who weigh their weight every day may exercise a little more the next day and they keep their eating habit more carefully" said lead author, Jamie Cooper.

Michelle van Dellen, the author of the study in this study, said the findings support the theory of self-regulation. "People will be more sensitive to the difference they experienced now and in future. When people keep looking at it, it will tend to lead to changes in their behavior" explained Michelle.
