News24xx.com - The human biological clock does not only affect the time when we want to sleep or awake. A research reveals the metabolic system is also influenced by this mechanism. At certain times in a day, the body burns more calories even if it's not on the move. For example, in the late evening, calorie burning occurs 10 percent more than in the morning.
"The fact that doing the same thing at one time burning more calories than doing it at different times is very surprising" Kirsi-Marja Zitting of Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston said which quoted by LiveScience.
The findings are believed to explain why people with irregular working hours tend to be more vulnurabnle to suffer obese more than who work in regular hours. According to researchers, working hours like that are sometimes not in accordance with the body's 'schedule' to sleep or eat.
