News24xx.com - In recent years researchers have been actively seeking alternative animal protein from vegetable. For example, the organizations named Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods have succeeded in creating 'beef' made from soybeans.

Now there is an invention for fish. BlueNalu researchers in San Diego, United States developed imitation of 'fish' in a small laboratory in Sorrento Valley. They grow muscle and fat parts from fish from natural fish cells, only this growth is outside the body of the original fish.

Later the cell tissue will be stacked until the shape resembles a freshly caught of mahi-mahi fish, red snapper, or tuna. Everything is made using a 3D printer-like tool. Instead of printing plastic, the researchers used the 'ink' made of fish’s cells.

"The only difference from BlueNalu’s fish and ordinary fish is that our product has no bones" said Lou Copperhouse, CEO of BlueNalu. He also emphasized that his 'fish' does not contain mercury, parasites, microplastic or other dangerous substances. There are also no nerves, lymph systems, and animal blood vessels in this 'fish'.

Quoted from the South China Morning Post, on March 27th 2019, many people refer to BlueNalu’s fish as ‘clean meat’. What is clear that the company has an ambition to build a lot of 'fish' manufacturing facilities to meet consumer demand for real fish.
