Super woman, this Ethiopian woman took an exam 30 minutes after giving birth to her baby

News24xx.com - This Ethiopian woman is well aware of the importance of education for herself and her family. Almaz Derese who at that time forced herself to go to school to do examinations for secondary school level 30 minutes after giving birth to her baby. "Even though it was very difficult to have test after giving birth, but I do not want to waste the opportunity. I need almost 10 years to get and complete education" said the 21-year-old woman quoted from CNN.

Derese gave birth to a son on Sunday, June 9th 2019 local time, before preparing herself to take the exam. Derese's intention was supported by the local education office by placing a supervisor during the exam.

Superintendents served in the hospital where Derese completed the mathematics, English, and Amharic exams which are Ethiopian national languages. "Previously, Derese's husband told us if his wife could not sit in the regular classroom. We also asked Derese directly about her examinations. Derese said she was able to take the exam" said the head of the local Education Agency Kebede Negesu.

Derese completed another exam on Thursday, June 13th 2019 after her condition improved. Like most other residents, Derese who lives in the Aba Bora District has a poor economic situation. Derese married at the age of 17 despite not completing formal education. With all its limitations, her husband strongly supports his wife's intention to finish her school. Derese's husband also did not hesitate to help his wife after the test.
