Earthquake in Japan causes minor tsunami


The damages due to the earthquakeThe damages due to the earthquake - A strong 6.4 magnitude earthquake shook Japan, causing minor tsunami. There was no major damage and only a handful of light injuries.

The earthquake is registered six on the Japanese scale, which is up to seven. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said that the government will be on alert for possible rescue operations. They also warned citizens of possible aftershocks.

At least 16 people were injured after the earthquake. In Niigata prefecture, 4 people suffered light injuries. In Yamagata, there were 12 people who were injured.
