News24xx.com - An investigation report said that the United Nations (UN) had been experienced ‘systemic failure’ in preventing and handling humanitarian crises against Rohingya ethnic groups in Rakhine, Myanmar, in 2017.

The latest UN report describes the failure was discovered after Secretary General Antonio Guterres ordered an internal review of the performance of their representatives in Myanmar. The action came after UN officials in Myanmar allegedly ignored signs of persecution received by the Rohingya.

On its report, the United Nations said when it was difficult to determine who is responsible for this systemic failure, there was a shared responsibility from all parties involved because it did not convey more strongly the UN's main concerns regarding gross human rights violations in the country.

A number of critics of the United Nations accused the UN coordinator in Myanmar, Renata Lok-Dessallien, of causing the failure in responding to the Rohingya crisis. She was said ignored the signs of persecution done to Rohingya etnic which had worsened at that time in order to prioritize economic cooperation with the Myanmar government.

Up to now there have been more than 700 thousand Rohingyans who have fled in Bangladesh because they have tried to flee violence and persecution they have received in Myanmar since the crisis worsened in 2017. The wave of refugees allegedly occurred since the Myanmar military launched a "terrorist" cleansing operation against them.
