The animated series of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit will be coming to Disney+

IllustrationIllustration - Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney’s classic character, will get an animated series that will be released on Disney+.

The news was reported by fan-run Twitter account, Walt Disney Television Animation News. While it had been thought to be a rumor at first, voice actor Eric Bauza seems to have confirmed his involvement in the project, as the voice of Oswald himself.

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was created by Walt Disney for Universal Studios in 1927, before the studio took full ownership of the character. After that, Disney created a new character, the now iconic Mickey Mouse.

Universal continued to owned and produced Oswald cartoons until 1943. Walt Disney Company took back the character and his Disney-produced films in 2006.
