Dumai customs department confiscated 40 kg or marijuana


IllustrationIllustration - The Customs Department of Dumai City, Riau Province, stopped an attempt of drug trafficking. They confiscated almost 40 kg of marijuana.

The drug dealers packaged the drugs in cartons and hid them under leaves and rambutan. If the officers were not careful, they would have certainly missed it.

Head oof Compliance Guidance and Public Relations Section of Directorate General of Customs and Excise Regional Office, Vino Vianto, said that there were two carton that had been confiscated. They contained 38 packages of marijuana.

Other than confiscating the drugs, the officers also arrested three people. They were the driver of public transportation that carried the drugs, referred to as AR, the passenger of the vehicle, referred to as SL, and a woman referred to as K.
