Experiencing turbulence, flight from Canada forced to make emergency landing in Hawaii

News24xx.com - An Air Canada flight was forced to land in Hawaii, on Thursday, July 11th 2019 quoting from an Air Canada spokeperson, this incident makes thirty passengers were injured, including nine in critical condition.

The plane itself was on its way to Sydney, Australia from Vancouver, Canada when severe turbulence was experienced by the plane.

It made an emergency landing at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu at 6.45 am local time.

First reports said that none of the injuries were serious.

“(It) appears that 35 passangers only got some minor injuries,” an Air Canada spokesperson said.

But at a press conference at about 7 pm, an official provided an update and said the number of injured was 30, nine in critical condition.

The plane that carried 269 passengers and 15 crew members encountered the turbulence, all of passengers were panicked.

“We hit turbulence and we all hit the roof,” said Jess Smith, one of the passangers on the plane.
