The number of dengue fever patients increases in Dumai city

News24xx.com -3 Districts in Dumai City have been plagued by dengue fever. The Regional Public Hospital (RSUD) of Dumai recorded the there are 242 patients who suffer from dengue fever from January to July.

“Compared to the last 3 years, this is a sharp increase,” said Dr. Bakrie, the Head of Service Section of RSUD Dumai.

In 2016, there were 174 dengue fever patients recorded. In 2017, there were 24 patients while in 2018, only 10 patients. Those who suffer from dengue fever are mostly children aged 5 to 15.

The hospital keeps telling the civilians to apply healthy living and clean environment in their lives to prevent this disease from spreading.
