News24xx.com -  As previously reported, the Pekanbaru City Government (Pemko) has circulated a letter to all shop owners (shop houses) along Soebrantas street on June 24, 2019.

The letter contained an appeal for shop owners to dismantle the drainages that was intentionally closed.

And it seems that the threat will really be carried out. Because the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) of Pekanbaru City threatened to dismantle the drainage that was closed by the owner of the shop house  in Tobek Godang village, Panam

The head of the PUPR Office in Pekanbaru City, Indra Pomi Nasution, on Monday, July 22, 2019 said that the survey had been carried out on Soebrantas street.

Indra Pomi also called the demolition and cleaning of drainage will be carrie out in Tobek Godang village.

In addition, the PUPR Office also requires data from the Tobek Godang village office and recommendations for drainage disassembly from the Tampan sub-district head.

The Tampan  sub-district head, Liswarti said that she had received a notice and a letter regarding the notification that shop owners and building owners along the outskirts of Soebrantas road to open clogged drainage would be delivered as soon as possible to shop owners along Soebrantas street, Panam.

As was known, nowadays, Pekanbaru often experiences water problems overflowing into the streets.

One of the reasons is due to drainage clogged by garbage.
