Fuad Fauzi, Head of the Customs Supervisory and Enforcement Office (KPPBC) Dumai, said the arrest of the two perpetrators of smuggling of methamphetamine originated from information received by Dumai Customs from the society.

"From that information, the Customs and Excise Team of Dumai immediately coordinated with POMAL Dumai and the water police of Dumai Regional Police," Fuad Fauzi said on Tuesday afternoon.

"Monday, July 22, 2019, the team then headed to Rupat waters to patrol. Tuesday morning at around 6:00 a.m. the patrol team saw a speed boat speeding at high speed between the waters of the Morong strait and Tanjung Jering waters," he continued.

When checked it was found that there were around 27.6 kilograms of shabu-shabu drugs suspected of being smuggled from Malaysia, which were wrapped in 26 packages that were carried out. Fuad said.

"In addition, we also found around 20 thousand ecstasy items. Estimated, the secured narcotics price reached Rp50 billion," he said.
