Celebrate ASEAN literary festival in Kota Tua, Jakarta

News24xx.com -  Kota Tua became the choice of the right location for a celebration of ASEAN Literary Festival (ALF) or the Fourth ASEAN Literary Festival.

Not only want to inviting book lovers, literacy community, author, or publisher, but ASEAN Literary Festival tried to celebrate literature along with the general public.

Held at some point locations in Kota Tua, West Jakarta, an international literary term lasts for three days. Starting from a booth displaying the books selling publishers, communities, until a party poems together with notable poets of the fatherland.

The literary titles supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture, according to Program Director ASEAN Literary Festival, Okky Madasari, the festival continues to grow and the organisers are looking for new creative space.

"It's a fitting place. Ministry od Education and Culture convincing ourselves when making the event here, we can reach out to people who previously had never been exposed to literary events, or people who do not yet reachable with the literacy activities," said Okky found in Building Tjipta Commerce, on the sidelines of the ASEAN organization of Literary Festival on Saturday, August 5 2017.

On the third day, the general public does look enthusiastic looking around each booth in ALF. There are 24 booth, among them is the Lontar Publisher, Indie Book Corner, Gramedia Pustaka Utama, Buku Perempuan, Thukul Cetak, Goodreads, Falcon Publishing, Group MIZAN, Supernova Community, and others.
