Still Struggling With Fire, Tens of Manggala Agni Personnel Commemorate Indonesian Independence Day on Burnt Field

The rise of forest and land fires in several regions of Riau Province, so that TNI-Polri officers, Damkar officers and not only officers from Manggala Agni are always at the forefront of putting out fires.

Coinciding with the 74th Birthday of the Republic of Indonesia, dozens of members of the Manggala Agni Daops Operation Pekanbaru City had just held a ceremony commemorating the Republic of Indonesia Anniversary at the location of the forest and land fires, Saturday, August 17, 2019.

They choose the location of the ceremony in Rimbo Panjang Village, Kampar District with an area of ??up to two hectares of peatland which has been burning since the past week and is entering a cooling stage.

The reason for holding the ceremony at the location was because the officers could immediately resume the blackout activities without having to bother moving locations.

"At the same time this ceremony is a momentum to ignite the enthusiasm of our personnel when extinguishing land fires," said Head of the Manggala Agni Pekanbaru Operation Area, Edwin Putra.

The ceremony was attended by 30 officers from the Manggala Agni Pekanbaru City Operations Area, as well as several surrounding communities.
