News24xx.com -  Vacationing to one of Indonesia’s exotic location of Labuan Bajo in Flores might seem to be an expensive trip for some people. Let alone renting a boat and the extra costs following it to discover the islands in the vicinity of the infamous Komodo Island.

However, do not let your budget be a factor to be concerned with since Labuan Bajo also offers tourist destinations that is free of charge, either for entrance ticket or boat docking fees. Here are the options:

1. Sylvia Hill

This hill is located a stones-throw away from the Sylvia Resort that can be reached on a 20-minute ride on either a car or motorcycle from the International Komodo Airport to the direction of the Waecicu Beach.

The Sylvia hill peak offers you a majestic view of lines of upside-down bowl-shaped hills that resembles the hills in the children’s show, Teletubbies. The locally known spot as Gili Lawa’s miniature offers you the ocean’s panorama added with its awe-inspiring sunset.

2. Bukit Cinta (Hill of love)

Almost similar to the Sylvia Hill, the hill of love offers you the same lines of hills that are on the edge of a direct sunset view over the ocean. Which is the most time tourists arrive at the location.

The element that differs this from the previous entry is the iconic peak-hill that has a lone tree often perceived as the single person’s tree. This place is just 15 minutes from the Komodo International Airport.

3. Pede Beach

This beach is one of the beaches in Labuan Bajo that can be enjoyed free of charge. The location of the beach is close to Laprima Hotel that is also just 15 minutes from Komodo Island’s airport through the Trans-Flores route.

Despite its beauty and its popularity with locals, the wastes at the beach rather poorly managed that can be witnessed in the beach’s corners where there are several stacks of plastic waste.

4. Kelor Island

This island can only be reached through a 40-minute trip by boat from Labuan Bajo. This island would usually be the last stop or first stop in Komodo’s sailing trips.

This island offers you the chance to enjoy activities like snorkeling, hill trekking, and camping. Unlike other islands in Labuan Bajo, this island does not charge entrance fees or boat docking fees, yet.
