Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road Can Start Through The End of Year Later, Mayor of Pekanbaru Claims

Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road has been reviewed directly by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) together with SOE Minister Rini Soemarno in July 2017. The Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road is part of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road.

After directly observing the Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll, the Mayor of Pekanbaru, Firdaus was optimistic that the strategic project could be passed next December. "At present we have carried out land acquisition which will be intended to build the Pekanbaru-Dumai toll road," said Pekanbaru Mayor Firdaus, Wednesday, August 21, 2019.

Mayor of Pekanbaru, Firdaus hopes that the existence of the Pekanbaru-Dumai toll road can improve the economy of the people of Riau, especially Pekanbaru City. "Hopefully, the Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road can have an impact, of course, great benefits for the community," said Mayor of Pekanbaru Firdaus.

Pekanbaru Mayor Firdaus added that after the Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road had been completed, it would continue with the construction of other toll roads. "After the Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road, next year it will be continued with the construction of the Pekanbaru-Padang Toll Road and the Pekanbaru-Jambi Toll Road," Firdaus said.
