Provide 20 Machines with the Integrated Team of Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital to Manage Chronic Kidney Patients

Director of Arifin Achmad Hospital, Nuzelly Husnedi, said that currently there are 20 new machines for dialysis services as well as those owned by large and well-known hospitals in Indonesia.

Besides that, Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital also has complete specialist doctors for the treatment of kidney patients, such as Dr. Rayendra who is a specialist in internal medicine and hypertension consultants in Riau.

"We hope that by developing this sub-specialist service, the service level of Arifin Achmad Hospital as a referral center will certainly not be the same as other hospital services," said Nuzelly, Sunday, August 25, 2019.

Nuzelly added, Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital as a referral center for the hospital in Bumi Lancang Kuning, also had an Integrated Kidney Team.

"This service is expected to be a reference for other hospitals in Riau, in the near future the dialysis center with the latest machines can be used immediately," he said.

Nuzelly said, at this early stage, it could accommodate 20 patients at a time, and according to needs the capacity could be increased.

In addition, to meet the needs of patients who have high routine activities, we also prepare a VIP room whose dialysis schedule can adjust and not interfere with the routine busy schedule of patients.

"In principle, prevention programs in kidney services at Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital are divided into two types, first primary prevention and second secondary prevention," he said.

Primary prevention, which is to treat patients who are identified as risk factors. Then secondary prevention, with treatment to patients who have or are in the terminal stage.
