4. You can’t make someone love you

People are not obliged to reciprocate love. You would hardly be able to love someone who’s head over heels in love with you if you don’t like them, would you?
We need to treat the feelings and choices of others with respect. You can improve yourself and become better. Then the person whose love you’re trying to win will decide for themselves if you are worthy of their feelings.

 

3. If you are loved, you will feel that.

Everyone has at least a rough idea of how a good attitude toward them shows itself. You’ll definitely notice it if someone singles you out from the others, spends a lot of time with you, respects you, and cares about your feelings — no matter how it happens.

But if your partner always seems to lack time for you, it’s a reason to take a sober look at the situation and stop coming up with excuses for them.

 

2. You need to love yourself in order to love someone else.

Loving yourself is not selfishness or putting the crown on your own head: it is respect for your wishes and feelings. It means that you’ll never betray yourself for the sake of doubtful pleasures or serving someone indifferent to you. Loving yourself allows you to save face and act with dignity in any situation.

If you know how to love yourself, you will also treat other people with love and respect and will never make your partner do something against their will.

 

1. Don’t hold back someone who fell out of love with you.

This is a common mistake. However cruel it may sound, nobody is obliged to love you forever, no matter whether you gave them 3 children or built a palace encrusted with diamonds.

And if it happened that the feelings passed, think about what’s best: putting an end to the old story and starting a new one or imposing yourself on someone, burdening them like a sack of potatoes? We hope you don’t want to be potatoes.
