Wednesday 4 September 2019, the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Gerindra Party has issued a decree (SK) regarding the appointment of Ginda Burnama as Deputy Speaker of the Pekanbaru DPRD. As is known Ginda Burnama who is the son-in-law of the Mayor of Pekanbaru, Firdaus was elected as a legislative member for the period 2019-2024.

When confirmed, Ginda Burnama, who is also the youngest elected legislative member, said that he was ready to be mandated to become the Deputy Speaker of the Pekanbaru DPRD. "Alhamdulillah, God willing, I can run it in the next five years," said Ginda.

Ginda said that the position she assumed would become a new color in the Pekanbaru DPRD because she was not yet 30 years old. "For young people who will be able to give a new color in Pekanbaru DPRD," said Ginda, Wednesday 3 September 2019.

When asked whether he was burdened, Ginda said that he was not burdened. Because for him the position was entrusted or mandated.

"Thank God everyone has a burden, in my opinion it is entrusted, a mandate that I must carry out. When talking I can run it, God willing, I can," said Ginda.

Ginda also said that in the future as Deputy Speaker of Pekanbaru DPRD, he would focus on the welfare of the community. "What is clear is that I will do the three most important council tasks, budgeting, supervision and law. Today's budgeting is still focused on education, in the future we will also focus on health, infrastructure, more touching to the community," said Ginda.

Although claiming to be ready, Ginda did not deny that she was quite surprised by her election as Deputy Speaker of the Pekanbaru Legislative. "I am also surprised that this great mandate was entrusted to me, because in October it will only be 27 years. But after I took to politics, it has become my mature thought. I especially thank Pak Prabowo for entrusting his great mandate as vice chairman," continued Ginda.
