TEMBILAHAN - Batang Batang Sub-District, Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) District, has requested the attention of the Riau Provincial Government (Pemprov) related to the provincial authority road which is located in several locations of the region.

This was conveyed by the Camat because all this time the road that had become the authority of the Riau province had not been touched by attention, so the condition was even more alarming.

"Sungai Batang District is traversed by Provincial roads, starting from Benteng Utara Village, Benteng Village and leading to Mugomulyo Village directly adjacent to Reteh District," said Sungai Batang Sub-District Head, Hardiansyah, Wednesday, September 4, 2019 yesterday.

He explained, the provincial road is the main hope in advancing Sungai Batang District so that transportation flows will be smoother and the economy will develop rapidly.

"If it doesn't rain, it can still be passed because it is buried in land, but there are still 2.3 Km more that have not been stockpiled and the conditions are potholes," explained the Camat.

In addition, the provincial road is closely related to future development prospects because the Batang River is also crossed by a road to a national project, namely the port of Samudera Kuala Enok.

"In the village of Pandan Sari, which is crossed by Samudera road, there is the grave of KH Abdul Hamid, a great scholar who develops Islam in South Inhil. Every year there is a haul where visitors are even from Jambi and Palembang," the Camat continued.

He added, today the condition of the roads is still very bad even though the Regency Government's policy has opened the way of the embankment program through DMIJ funds so that it hopes that in the future there will be a more adequate APBD budget disbursed for the tomb area.

"There is around 5.4 Km and it penetrates into Samudera road. In the future, we hope that this can be improved, we have tried through the District and District Musrenbang," he added.

Meanwhile, the Batang Batang Police Chief, AKP Horison revealed that since the beginning of the year until now the security and public order is very well maintained.

"For three years I served, the Benteng area was prone to Kamtibmas. But now it is very safe, from January to August 2019, the Batang Batang Subdistrict is a criminal case," said AKP Harison. ***
