Tragic, a Chinese Woman Laughed So Hard That Her Mouth Got Stuck

News24xx.com -  They say laughter is the best medicine, but is it? Can it sometimes prove to be the REASON for taking medicine? When you are in the middle of an uncontrollable laughing bout, you don’t ever think that it won’t stop. It's bound to, it's supposed to. But what if you get stuck laughing? Something like that happened with a Chinese woman.

She went into a bout of laughter on a train, the reason for which is not yet known. And that powerful laugh proved to be disastrous for her. She apparently laughed so hard and so much, that she ended up dislocating her jaw! The pictures of the woman, her mouth wide open, being tended to by a doctor are going viral on social media. 

Reportedly the woman began laughing on a high-speed train bound for Guangzhou South Railway Station. Passengers noticed her to be laughing uncontrollably for several minutes. The laugh came to an end with her mouth stuck open and she dislocating jaw. Doctor Luo was called on train after an urgent appeal for medical assistance was broadcast through the carriages.

“I rushed over and found the passenger unable to speak or close her mouth. She was drooling, so I initially thought she had had a stroke. But I took her blood pressure, then asked,” Dr Wensheng reportedly said. 

It turned out that the woman had previously dislocated her jaw due to excessive vomiting during pregnancy.

“If you've dislocated your jaw in the past, laughing, yawning or even just opening your mouth too wide can lead to it happening again," the doctor reportedly said.

Who knew even laughing could be dangerous?
