Military District Command Headquarters (Kodim) 0303 / Bengkalis fielded 150 personnel to extinguish and cool Forest and Land Fires (Karhutla) that occurred in Bengkalis Regency. Inf Timmy Prasetya Harmianto said that hundreds of personnel were deployed to handle the forest and land fires that occurred in 0303 / Bengkalis Kodim region including, District. "As many as 150 TNI personnel along with Damkar and BPBD were immediately mobilized to extinguish and cool down at the location of the former fire which still emits smoke. Because it is feared that fire will appear again," said Dandim Bengkalis Inf.

Still said Dandim, the implementation of the blackout and cooling was simultaneously carried out in three regions including Merbau District, Tanjung Damai, Meranti Regency and Pinggir District Bengkalis Regency. "Today, we are simultaneously extinguishing and cooling the forest and land fires in Merbau, Tanjung Damai and Pinggir," said Dandim again.

He continued, despite the current conditions of cooling, Bengkalis Kodim members were still covered in lumus in the post-karhutla location, especially the Karhutla Subsatgas team who came from Kodim 0303 / Bengkalis personnel.
