PELALAWAN - A married couple in Gondai Village, Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency are stabbing each other in front of their own children. This incident occurred on Monday (09/16/2019), in the Nias Barracks KM 41 Gondai.

"The husband and wife are Kan (husband) and Yt (wife). The wife died on the spot. Her husband is being treated at Selasih Hospital with 2 stab wounds," explained Pelalawan Police Chief AKBP Kaswandi Irwan told reporters at Pangkalan Kerinci.

The police chief explained, from the testimony of witness KE (4) who was his second child, he saw his parents fighting, and saw his father stabbing his mother with a knife.

While other witnesses, See Hu (32), claimed to see a bicker between the husband and wife, at around 08.00 WIB in front of their barracks. Then according to this witness, both of them entered the house.

"A moment later this witness saw the victim's wife leaving the house followed by the husband with a knife. Then the victim lay in front of his house," explained the police chief again.

The witness then contacted the Langgam Sector Police. When members of the Langgam police station arrived at the crime scene, the police saw the two lying in front of his house with blood splattered.

"Both of them immediately rushed to Selasih Hospital. His wife's corpse was for an adoption, while her husband was for treatment," said the Kaswandi Police Chief. ***
