Friday 20 September 2019, the combined students of the University of Riau (UNRI) and the University of Muhammadiyah Riau (UMRI) still survived voicing their aspirations at the Riau Governor's Office. Hundreds of students are determined to meet the Governor of Riau Syamsuar.

As previously reported, hundreds of students from the University of Riau and UMRI held a demonstration at the Riau Governor's office. The arrival of these students is related to the problem of haze due to forest and land fires (karhutla) in Riau.
