What does Educational Observer Say about Students doing Demo?

Doni Koesoema, an education observer, concerns that students who do demo are only used by certain people.

"Principal teachers must teach that we’re a democratic country, these aspirations must be conveyed properly. Like coming to the DPR to convey their aspiration letters. Not by gadding like thugs, "he said.

He also considers if this event is really provoked to violence, then it is a form of children exploitation.

"Children do have the right to demonstrate, as opposed to Britain, but they do it with condusive. Not like what Indonesia students did yesterday, "said Doni again.

"This is not an educational learning  in the demonstration," he continued.

When being asked about many of  STM children involved in street actions, he said, it cannot be separated from the stigma of STM children who like to fight.

"STM students are lack critical thinking," he said.

According to him, this is because they are more trained for action where the competition is working.

"In high school, the lessons are complex, they are taught to think critically with a scientific approach. STM is more to the technical of making  something, the important is the ability to make something, "he said.

So he considered, the STM students’ critical thinking should also be developed too, so they were not easily be manipulated.
