A Newly Wed Couple Buried in a Landslide

News24xx.com - A newlywed was death buried by a landslide that occurred in Cianjur.

Landslides occurred in Cirawa Village,  Kanoman Village, Cibeber District, Cianjur Regency.

The incident occurred Tuesday on 18 October 2019 around 06.00 p.m.

In the night before, heavy rain flushed the area.

Cibeber Sub-District Chief, Ali Akbar, said it was thought the victim was at home when it rained heavily and landslides occurred.

Ali said, the evacuation process was obstructed by minimal lighting.

The location of Kampung Cirawa is also a bit steep with topography in the form of valleys and hills.

It is known that the two dead victims who were buried by landslides are a husband and wife couple Hendrik (21) and Siti (19) who have only been married for two months.

The house is not far from the slope and on top there is a rice field.

"The position of the house is on a slope of about 30 degrees," said Yadi.

Yadi said, the land avalanche directly hit the bedroom of the victim's house.
