Sunday, October 13, 2019, Pekanbaru City now has a flower tourism location precisely in the Village of Taman Wisata Okura, Rumbai. At this location there are a variety of beautiful flowers, and the most widely targeted is to take photos in planting sunflowers.

Even though it has passed the peak of the developing season, it does not reduce people's interest in taking pictures. As Lisa Nurharyati said, the resident of Rumbai Bukit deliberately took a photo in the sunflower garden with her family.

"It's been a long time to stop by, but it's only now that it's accomplished. As long as there are still sunflowers blooming, when it's wilted it's not pretty anymore," she said.

The same thing was said by Wahyu, Suka Karya, Kualu Panam. "Coming here with family. I have often seen it on Instagram, so I am curious. It's got here, it's not bad. Only sunflowers and other flowers are still lacking," he said.

Muslim, one of the managers of Okura Tourism Park said that every weekend visitors are always busy. "The weekend most visitors come. If there are regular days but not so crowded. This is the peak of the sunflower season actually has passed, but many people still come. Because there are still new sunflowers that are developing," he said.

Currently it is trying to expand the location of flowers in the park. "We are multiplying more locations for photo spots, especially sunflowers. Because sunflowers are the most interested ones. But it still takes time, because from the nursery to the flowering process takes quite a long time," he said.

To enter the tourist sites managed by the community it is enough to pay a contribution of Rp 5,000 per person. For food or snacks, visitors should bring their own from outside, because in locations for snacks or selling heavy food is still minimal.
