INHIL- Deputy Regent of Indragiri Hilir Regency (Inhil) H Syamsuddin Uti visited the office of the Inhil Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in order to see BPBD's readiness in dealing with land and forest fires that occurred at several points in Inhil Regency, Monday 14 October 2019 .

Deputy Regent H Syamsuddin Uti interviewed after his visit said his visit to the BPBD Office was aimed at following up on a meeting with the central BPBD some time ago in Jakarta.

Besides that he explained, he also wanted to check directly the Inhil BPBD's readiness in dealing with disasters, especially in 2020 according to the information he had obtained there would be a drought sweeping over most of the Inhil Regency area.

"BPBD is fast and responsive in dealing with land and forest fires with the assistance of the TNI / Polri and the community. This means that where the Karlahut incident on our side this BPBD immediately descended," said Vice Regent Inhil.

He continued to remind the community, not to open land by burning. Not only that, he also appealed to the community to jointly protect nature.

"For the community directly involved in burning the land there will be harsh sanctions. Therefore, let join us to protect nature and nature will protect us," he said.
