Pekanbaru Transportation Agency Continues to Evaluation the Activity of TMP Bus

Friday 18 October 2019, In ??order to strengthen the operation of the Pekanbaru  Trans Metro Bus (TMP) the Transportation Department (Dishub) of Pekanbaru City continued to evaluate. Moreover, Pekanbaru City Government has signed a partnership with the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) related to reviving this mass transportation.

Acting Task (Acting) Head of Pekanbaru City Transportation Agency Yuliarso at the Public Service Mall (MPP), Friday (10/18/2019), said it was conducting escort and arrangement related to the operation of the TMP bus. Because, TMP buses are the main and strategic program of the mayor that is in line with central government policy.

"A few weeks ago, we signed a partnership with the Director General of Land Transportation representing the Minister of Transportation, the Governor of Riau. With this cooperation, the City Government of Pekanbaru became one of five cities that participated in the Sustainable Urban Transport Program Indonesia (SUTRI NAMA) and Indonesian Bus "Rapid Transit Corridor Development Project (INDOBUS)," said Yuliarso.

Where the Pekanbaru Transportation Agency works together to prioritize and oversee the policies of the central government. The policy is made in order to so tmake sure that Pekanbaru Transportation Agency prioritizes and revives mass transit buses.

"Therefore, we technically continue to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the TMP bus that has run to this day," said Yuliarso.

It is hoped that by continuing to organize the TMP Bus operation, more people will switch from private vehicles and use mass transportation. (Riki)
