Karateka Muhammad Vega Ready to Bring Inhil's Name to PON XX

News24xx.com - Three karateka Riau strolled to PON XX in Papua after winning the medal in the PON XX Pre Qualification which was held in Senayan, Jakarta on 4-6 November 2019.

Where previously the Provincial Management (Pengprov) of the Indonesian Karate-Do Sports Federation (Forki) Riau targeted 5 people who could qualify in the PON. One of the three karateka is a child karateka Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau namely Muhammad Vega who won bronze in the +84 Kg class.

"We are very grateful that Muhammad Vega was able to raise the name of Riau, especially Indragiri Hilir in PON XX, which was held in Papua in the future," said Inkai Management, Sergeant Major M Darmansyah.
Muhammad Vega's father also hopes that his son will actively practice in preparation for the upcoming Papua 2020 PON XX.

This success was warmly welcomed by Chairman of Forki Inhil, Edy Indra Kesuma. He is very proud of the success that has been achieved by Muhammad Vega today.

"Of course I am very proud of the success of Muhammad Vega, with this Vega has been the name of Indragiri Hilir," he said.

He also hopes for Vega to practice as much as possible in preparation for the upcoming PON XX. "I'm sure Muhammad Vega is able to provide the best for Riau, especially Indragiri Hilir," he said.

To note, at this time the man born on April 7, 2000 is currently studying at Unri majoring in Sports Coaching.

In addition, Muhammad Vega also gave the name of the Thousand Trench Country to Riau Porda by winning silver in the +84 Kg class.
