News24xx.com - Sharia Judge Mohd Asri Mohd Tahir has sentenced five men to jail for trying to have sex with the rules of nature, aka, homosexuality.

"You are married, you have a wife, and you are doing this. You betrayed your family," he told 1 in 5 men, 42 years, when he was sentenced to 7 months in prison, a fine of RM4,900 and 6 whips.

Four other men aged between 27 and 37 were sentenced to 6 months in prison, a fine of RM4,800 and 6 caning for the same offense, the New Straits Times reported.

Those who fail to pay fines must also serve an additional sentence of 3 to 4 months in prison.

"All the defendants were found naked in an apartment on the second floor with 7 other men, including 3 who were not Muslim, along with condoms and lubricants," the judge said, adding that the violations committed were serious, contrary to human nature and that the sentence given not enough to be a lesson for the defendant and the community at large.

"The facts show there is preparation for sex with natural rules and this is not an initial attempt."

This case was sentenced under 1995 Sharia Criminal Law Enforcement (Selangor) together with Section 52 and Section 28 of Sharia Criminal Enforcement (Selangor) 1995 in an attempt to have sex with natural rules. After being judged, the defendant can be fined no more than RM5,000 or jail for no more than 8 months or caning of no more than 6 blows or a combination of the above sentence.

This incident arose after a case in which two women were flogged for 'having lesbian sex' in the eastern state of Terengganu.
