3 Years of Marriage, Wife Doesn't Have Pregnant Yet, Husband Brutally Beats and Strangles Wife

News24xx.com - A man in India brutally beats and strangles his wife with a scarf for not being pregnant a few days before their wedding anniversary.

The incident took place in Maloya Colony, Chandigarh, according to international news sites.

Officers identified the victim as Sheetal who was 28 years old while her husband was Anoop Singh. A husband was arrested after his case was registered.

According to reports, on the day of the murder, the couple had a fight about Sheetal who had not given birth to a child.

Singh locked the door before using a scarf to strangle his wife. One neighbor heard a scream coming from the house and warned members of the Sheetal family.

Sheetal was found lying unconscious on the floor by his family. He was then taken to the hospital, however, the doctor declared him dead. They also told the police.

Her unemployed husband left the scene after strangling her.

Investigations revealed that the couple often argued about the fact that the wife was not pregnant. Before the murder, Singh brutally beat his wife, he also often left his wife with facial injuries including broken teeth.

The couple has been married for three years and their wedding anniversary will take place on November 14.

After Singh was arrested, he denied responsibility for the killing.

Sheetal's parents talked to the police who revealed that her husband often bothered her because she was not pregnant.

Singh remains detained. However, local residents have stated that a thorough investigation must be carried out to identify all those involved in the killings.
