Complaining of Headaches When She Wanted to Sleep, This Girl Turns Out to Have a Dangerous Disease And Unexpectedly Died in Her Sleep

News24xx.com - A mother talks about her sadness over the death of her 21-year-old daughter. Her daughter slept that night with her head hurt and she did not realize that she was suffering from deadly meningitis.

Jessica Cain returned to her home in Gateshead after celebrating a festival with her friends.

This Derby University student decided to go to bed early but she didn't wake up. Her mother, Sheila Rowell, 49, found her lifeless body the next morning.

Based on the results of the examination, Cain, who is healthy and fit, suffers from meningococcal meningitis and septicemia.

Rowell, who is a retail assistant, said: "We found out five days later when we received a call from a coroner.

'Before that call, we had no idea what was happening.

"We wondered if she had bleeding in her brain or a heart attack.

"We were just surprised when we knew it was meningitis. There was nothing anyone could do to save her. She had ever had meningitis before she was a college student, but it was not really serious.

It is known that Cain spent 2 weeks celebrating the festival with her friends. When she returned, she looked exhausted and lay on the sofa.

Mrs. Rowell explained that she had asked her daughter to bed around 7 pm. Then, Cain went upstairs but went back down and took paracetamol and said that she might go to the doctor in the morning if she didn't feel better.

The next morning Mrs. Rowell got up to go to work and decided to wake Ms. Cain before she left that day.

But when she entered her daughter's  room, she found her daughter unresponsive and lay in front of her.

Rowell called emergency services, but tragically she could not be saved.

According to Meningitis Now charity, early symptoms of meningitis and septicemia can include fever, headache, vomiting, muscle aches, fever and cold hands and feet.

Symptoms can get worse very quickly, and in some cases the desease can kill within hours.
