News24xx.com - The story of a prostitute in Bandar Lampung who was netted by the raid made me sad and sad.

The prostitute was netted by the Bandar Lampung municipal police raid in pregnancy. It becomes more heartbreaking, when the woman was secured by the municipal police, her son who was still wearing elementary school uniform came to see her.

They are included in 12 people who were netted by the Bandar Lampung municipal police raid on Tuesday (11 November 2019) night.

The netted people consisted of 7 prostitutes, 4 transvestites, and 1 beggar.

The Head of Municipal Police Bandar Lampung, Suhardi Syamsi said, they are netted in a number of locations. Among them, Jalan Yos Sudarso, Jalan Soekarno-Hatta, Jalan Kartini, and around PKOR Way Halim.

"There's no follow up action from us, in this case municipal police, is only limited to control," Suhardi told Tribunlampung.co.id, Wednesday (1 November 2019).

After being recorded, the 12 people were given food. They were then handed over to the Bandar Lampung Social Service.

"While there is one sex worker who happens to have his son come here (Satpol PP office) during school hours."

"So that their children can still go to school, we will finally send them home. We are pregnant too," he said.

During November 2019, there were at least 33 prostitutes, transvestites, and beggars who were caught in raids.

"Last week, there were 14 people, then 7 people. While last night, 12 people," he said. Suhardi said that some of the people who were caught by the raids were "old players".

"After we checked the data. Four people have been netted very often."

"But again, we only register and enlighten."

"Further guidance, municipal police has no authority for that," Suhardi explained.

It continues to coordinate with social services to foster further.

Especially, the perpetrators who are often netted.

"Hopefully, the social service will follow up."

"Honestly, if there is no follow up, there will be no maximum effect," he said.

The follow up is meant to provide certain skills that can be used as land for future work, so that they can get out of the current work.

"So it's very likely to change outside of the current work."

Suhardi also assumed the workers were forced to work this way because of economic factors. He also explained that besides economic factors, mentality problems also affected.
